Hey Friend,

Every living organism reproduces! some plants reproduce by Pollinating!

Pollination is a an act of transferring anthers (male gametes) to stigma (female gametes). This results in the formation of seeds and thus new plants are produced.

Pollination is of two types -
1. Self Pollination - where plants can fertilize itself
2. Cross pollination - where plants need pollinators or agents to transfer anthers

Significance of Pollination -
The main significance of pollination is to carry the pollen grains to the stigma for the process of fertilization and thus, reproduction!

Hope it helps!

Hey friend!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pollination is a type of Sexual Reproduction in plants.
There are 2 types of pollination I would be explaining you.

What is Poliination?
when the pollen grain (male reproductive part) which is in the anther falls in the stigma (female reproductive part) it is called Pollination. When this process occurs in bisexual flowers (flowers with both reproductive parts male and female) it is known as self pollination

2) Cross pollination
In this type of pollination the pollen grain of one flower of same kind in the same plant or in the different plant transfers to the stigma of other flower of same kind of same plant or different plant and it is called cross pollination.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Advantages of pollination:-
Pollination is important because it leads to produce fruits for us to eat.
It can produce more seeds so that more new plants can give rise.
The pollinators pollinate the pollen grain to get nectar, where as they don't know the care and benefits of it.

Hope this helps you ^-^
