The transfer of pollen grains from the stamen to the stigma is called pollination.
There are two types of pollination: Self- Pollination and Cross-Pollination.
If the pollen is transferred from one flower to another, it is know as cross- pollination.
If this transfer of pollen grains occurs in the same flower it is referred to as self-pollination
