what is pollination how is it useful

The transfer of pollen grains from anther of a flower to the stigma of same flower or the other flower if same/ different species is called pollination.It is useful because it the way of reproducing the new seeds in the flowers.

Pollination :
It is the process of transferring of pollen grains from the male part from the anther to the stigma of the flower.
Two types of pollination :
There are two types of pollination, they are -
* self - pollination
It is a type of pollination in which the pollen grains gets transferred within the same flower.
* cross - pollination
It is a type of pollination in which the pollen grains gets transferred from the anther of one flower to the stigma of another flower.
Importance of pollination :
Pollination is important as it helps in producing the variety ( flowers).
Agents of pollination :
Pollination is carried out with the help of some insects like butterfly, honey bee etc....
