The transfer of pollen grain from anther to stigma is called pollination.

Pollination are of 4 types :-

  • Xenogamy

  • Geitonogamy

  • Autogamy

  • Hybridization

Autogamy and Geitonogamy comes under self pollination in which transfer of pollen grain takes place in one plant.

Xenogamy and Hybridization comes under cross pollination in which participation of more than one plant .
