The chemical mechanism that cells use to make and break polymers are basically the same in all cases. Monomers are connected by a reaction in which two molecules are covalently bonded to each other through loss of a water molecule; this is called a condensation polymerization because the lost molecule is water.

Hey mate here is your answer:-)

When either same or different types of two or more monomers join, they form polymer.

Their are two types of polymerization=

Addition polymerization:-

When two or more similar types of monomer join.

Example; PVC, Polypropylene, Polystyrene, HDPE - High Density Polyethylene, LDPE - Low Density Polyethylene etc.

Condensation Polymerization:-

When two or more different types of monomers join.

Example; Nomex, Nylon, Kevlar, Lexan, Perlon etc.

Hope this helps you...............
