A monomial cannot have a variable in the denominator. You can think of a monomial as being one term. ... You call an expression with a single term a monomial, an expression with two terms is a binomial, and an expression with three terms is a trinomial.Mar 20, 2013

Trinomial: An algebric expression which contains three terms is called a trinomial.

For example : Expressions 2x+3y +4z, 7x²-4y²+3z, x+x²+x³ are trinomial.
