The Poona pact was an agreement between Mahatma Gandhi and B.R. Ambedkar.

Explanation:

B.R. Ambedkar wanted separate electorates for the dalit and the depressed classes of India. Gandhi ji refused to this because he knew that this would further divide India and this could not happen. His fight was against British who wanted to divide India and now his own men were talking about division. He sat on a fast unto death untill finally Dr. Ambedkar understood the reason behind Gandhi's rationale.
