Ketones are relatively much harder to oxidise reactions at extreme temperatures .Our teachers say also abt Popoff's which says that during oxidation of unsymmetrical ketones,the >C=O group remains with the smaller of the two alky group.

Popoff's rules states that during oxidation of ketones .keto group always stays with the smaller alkys group...
