The word porifera means organisms with holes . These are non motile animals attached to some support
. these holes are pores all over the body
.these lead to canal system that help i n curculation of water to bring food & O2
.these animaks are coverd with hard layer or skeleton
.the body design involve very minimal differentiation & division into tissue
.also called as sponges ,
.mainly found in marine habbitat
eg . spongilla
. sycon
. euplectelea

.the pkant of this group bear naked seeds & usually perennial, evergreen, woody . eg
