What is Port and Cables?

According to me Ports are slots on the motherboard into which a cable of external device is plugged in. Examples of external devices attached via ports are the mouse, keyboard, monitor, microphone, speakers, etc.thanks

Ports are generally found at the back of the Cpu Cabinet.These commonly includes power socket for connecting power cable, personal system 2 (PS2) Port for connecting Mouse and Keyboard.
