Positive ions are the species of ions who have the tendency to give away electrons in order to complete their octate and become stable.

Positive ions having elements usually have less than 4 valence electrons which make them more reactive.

Examples of positive ions are: Sodium ion (Na^2+), Potassium ion (K^1+), Magnesium ion (Mg^2+), Aluminium ion (Al^3+)
