Potable water is the water that can be consumed by every human being and living being too but acid rain refers to rain that contains excessive acid the rain becomes acidic because co2 ,sulphur dioxide and nitrogen .. dissolve in rain drops to form carbonic acid ,sulphuric acid and nitric acidb.acid rain causes damage to buildings,plants and animals too.Hence we should try to conserve potable water very nicely.
