Potential Difference : It is the amount of work done to move a unit positive charge from one point to another point in an electric field.

It effects electricity :

As we know the formula

V = IR

Where V is the Potential Difference

So by Ohm's law V is directly proportional to I which is current

So , When Volt (Potential Difference) increases the current flowing through the conductor also increases
