What is poverty line and why do we different countries have different poverty line

poverty line is considered as the average amount a person earns and invests for his need and below that person is considered as living in poverty and cant fill his needs by his earning
different countries have different poverty line because every country is not similar in economy condition of people living there
ex. developing countries have different poverty line then developed or undeveloped countries
