Energy is the capacity to do work, whereas Power is the rate at which work is done.
SI unit of Energy is Joule, whereas SI unit of Power is Watt.
That is the definition of energy and power, but to understand it we can take an example :
Suppose there are a lot of boxes that need to be lifted, now, just to understand, the amount of boxes you can lift is your capacity to do work or Energy, but the speed at which you lift them is your power.
This is not a bookish example and scientifically it might be explained very differently.
