what is power? formula of power


IIT360Atul: P = W / t. The standard metric unit of power is the Watt. As is implied by the equation for power, a unit of power is equivalent to a unit of work divided by a unit of time. Thus, a Watt is equivalent to a Joule/second.

Heya....!!

Power is defined as the Time rate of doing Work .

Formulae of Power = W/T ,, Workdone/time

OR

Power = F.S/T , FV

this is Instantaneous power . it may be +ve or -ve or Zero .

it's Si unit is Watt

power is the capability or ability to do work per unit time. The SI unit of power is watt.

Power = Work / Time.
