Answer:

Power : The amount of work done per unit time is called as Power.

The unit of power is Watt.

P= W/t

Here , in question they have given us work done is 50J

And in time ,t = 10 seconds

So now, we know ,P= W/t

=> P = 50/10

=> Power =5 Watts

  • Power is defined as the rate of work done per unit time.Mathematically:-

 \boxed{ \sf \: Power =  \dfrac{Work }{Time} }

  • It is a scalar quantity having only magnitude.
  • SI unit : W (watt)
  • Dimension formula : [M¹L²T‾³]

You should keep in mind that :-

  • \sf\:1\:J=10^7\:erg
  • \sf\:1\:eV=1.6\times10^{-19}\:J
  • \sf\:1\:MeV=10^6\:eV
  • \sf\:1\:amu=931\:MeV
  • \sf\:1\:kilowatt=10^3\:W
  • \sf\:1\:horse\:power=746\:W\\\\

According to the question, we are given :-

  • Work done = 50
  • Time = 10 sec

Now, substitute the given values:-

\sf. \purple {:\implies\:Power=\dfrac{Work}{Time}}\\\\

\sf:\implies\:Power=\dfrac{50}{10}\\\\

\sf:\implies\: Power=\cancel {\dfrac{50}{10}}\\\\

:\implies\:\underline{\boxed{\sf{\purple{Power=5\:kW}}}}\\\\
