Physicists apply the word power (P) in a special way. According to them, power is the time (t) it takes to do a certain quantity of work.

The power equation is P = W/t. Alternatively,  power is the rate of doing work. It also means the rate of transfer of heat energy and electrical energy.

In the electrical theory,  the power formula is P = V × I, where V is the voltage, and I is the current that is flowing via the circuit.

The power equation is P = W/t, the power formula is P = V × I, where V is the voltage in a circuit and I is the current flowing through that circuit.
