पानी संकट से जूझ रही सरकार ने अब बिजली कंपनियों को पानी का कम इस्तेमाल करने की हिदायत दी है। पर्यावरण मंत्रालय ने देश में चल रहे सभी थर्मल पावर प्लांटस को 10 फीसदी और प्रस्तावित थर्मल प्लांटस 30 फीसदी तक पानी के इस्तेमाल में कटौती करने को कहा है।
