Power sharing is desirable as:

1) Prudential reason- They help to reduce the conflicts between social groups and give space to each and every social group in democracy.

2) Moral: Power sharing is spirit of democracy.

Power sharing is very imp. and is needed in democracy to keep every social group happy. With the example of Sri Lanka and Belgium, we can see that Because of power sharing, People of Belgium were happy but Sri Lanka dont share powers which leads to civil war in their country.
