Preamble to the constitution is an essence to the constitution. It is not enforceable by law.The preamble of the constitution reflects the aims and objectives of the constitution. It also contains the spirit and values that are enshrined in the constitution.
It indicates two major points--
1)The goals of the nation which the constitution tries to establish and achieve.
2)It points to the source from which the constitution derives authority. Here the source of the constitution are we the people of India.
