Answer:

precipitation is any liquid or frozen water that forms in the atmosphere and falls back to the earth. it comes in many forms like snow, sleet, rain.

Precipitation in the form of drops of  water is called rainfall.

It is called virage when raindrop evaparate before it reach the earth .while passing through dry air.

Drizzle is light rainfall with drop size being less than 0.5mm. and when evaporation occurs before reaching the ground.

When the temperature is low than the 0 degree C , precipitation will take place in the form of fine flakes of snow is called snowfall.

Sleet is frozen raindrops and unfrozen melted snow- water.when a layer of air with the temperature above the freezing point overlies a subfreezing layer near the ground, precipitation takes place in the form of sleet.

Precipitation are classified into :

Rainfall

Virage.

Drizzle.

Mist.

Snowfall.

Sleet.

Hail.
