The hormone which is generated only at the time of pregnancy is called as pregnancy hormone.

The HPL, HCG as well as relaxine hormones are pregnancy hormones.

The two hormone sources are placenta and ovary.

The placenta also generates numerous other hormones including corticotrophin-releasing hormone and human placental lactogen.

The function of the placental lactogen is not understood completely although it promotes for the development of mammary glands.
