Presbyopia is a condition observed in old people who cannot see near objects cleary. Their lens loses flexibility due to loss of easticity of the ciliary body resulting in a kind of farsightedness. It is corrected by the use of convex lens.

This is common in old people.

It is also known as old age hypermetropia. In this detect of vision old person cannot see the nearby objects clearly due to less power of accomoanon of the eye. In this the near-point ot old person having presbyopia gradually recedes and then becomes much more than 25 cm away.
