what is present in the intermolecular space of a substance?is it vaccuum?

it is depend upon which state of matter you are saying if it is a solid then their intermoleculer space is willed with voccume  if it is a liquid then in the intermolecular space with some air.if it is a air then it is filled with complete air.


SamhithaT: intermolecular space is the space between molecules of a body...it is least for solids,less for liquids and large for gases.....how can u say that the space between molecules of air is filled by air? plz understand the concept first...
