There are 3 main tense. Past, Present and the Future.

Present Tense is a verb tense used to refer to the present. It is mainly used:

1) to express an action that is happening. Ex: I am drinking tea.

2) to express repeated actions. Ex: I play Cricket. She drinks coffee.

3) to express a fact or make a generalization. Ex: Bombay is in India. Dogs are loyal pets.

4) to express an event that will happen in the future. Ex: The bus
