It is defined as Force per unit area...

i.e.

$Pressure$ = $\dfrac{Force}{Area}$

Force is measured in Newton (N) and Area is measured in (m²)... So,

S.I. unit of Pressure = N/m²

Also, 1 Pa (Pascal) = N/m²

So, Pa is also it's unit...


Pressure is a Scaler Quantity as it has magnitude only not direction...
