Definition of pressure-

The force exerted on a unit area of surface is called pressure.

The force which is exerted on a surface is also called thrust.

Mathematical formula of pressure is as follows-

Pressure = Force/Area

Let force be 1 N and area be 1 m².

So, Pressure = 1 N/1 m² = 1 N/m²

So, the SI unit of pressure is N/m². It is also known as pascal.
