The principle of method of mixtures is the net heat lost by hot body = net heat gained by cold body.

Particals of matter attract each other,they travel faster when heat is provided.Many particals combine together to form mixture,there are millions of particals in a mixture of pure substances. Actually mixture is formed hen two kinds of substances are added.
