Probe is segment of DNA or RNA and its sequence can vary depending on the sequence to be probed, it used in hybridization techniques of molecular biology to find target complementary sequence in the genome. Many different probes are used to generate DNA fingerprints.

VNTR- These are small DNA sequence arranged tandemly in many copy numbers. The copy number varies from chromosome to chromosome in an individual. The numbers of repeats show high degree of polymorphism. A probe can be used for VNTR to find out the relationship between two people, to find out the criminals or to confirm parents of a child

"A blunt {or} sharp edged Instrument used to explore a wound of a body".

                                                VNTR:-------
A variable number tandem repeat {VNTR} is used to locate a genome Where a small nucleotide is organised as a tandem repeat.

Thank you de
ar,

Hope It helps.
