project tiger is a conservation programme of tigers. tigers are taken care with much concentration and even its food chain because because tiger for fed they have to depend on other animals so they have to even take care of its food chain. tigers and their cubs are under study by many forest department.project tiger was started because the population of tiger was decreasing much so the government started this program in which the tigers are taken care of.the next generations of tigers and cubs are kept in sanctuaries and taken care that they were not hunted for the greed purpose of humans. so that the future of tiger is taken care because of this the population was going on increasing in our country. so the project tiger is very useful for the increase of population of tiger.

Tigers are hunted for their skin,bones for the preparation traditional medicines,because of this tiger's population have decreased suddenly at the beginning of this century.as the tiger population came to the verge of extinction government had launched PROJECT TIGER in 1973 because of this the tiger population rose up.there are 39 tiger reserves in india.some of the tiger reserves in India are:Periyar in Kerala,Manas in Assam,Sariska in Rajasthan.
