Projectile motion is a form of motion experienced by an object or particle (a projectile) that is thrown near the Earth's surface and moves along a curved path under the action of gravity only (in particular, the effects of air resistance are assumed to be negligible).

Hi

Here is your answer,

Projectile motion is a form of motion in which an object or particle is thrown with some initial velocity near the earth's surface and it moves along a curved path under the action of gravity alone. The path followed by a projectile is called it's trajectory.

An object that is in flight after being thrown is called projectile.

1) A tennis ball or baseball in a flight

2) A bullet fired from a rifle

3) A body dropped from the window of a moving train.

4) A jet of water flowing a hole near the bottom of water tank.

5) A javelin thrown by an athlete.

Hope it helps you !
