propositional logic

Sentential logic, another name for propositional logic, is the area of logic that examines how to combine or modify simple statements or propositions to create more complex statements or propositions. One typical method of combining claims is to use the word "and" to connect two smaller propositions.

5 Types of connectives

  1. Logical Negation.
  2. Logical Conjunction (AND)
  3. Logical Disjunction (Inclusive OR)
  4. Logical Implication (Conditional)
  5. Logical Biconditional (Double Implication)
  1. Logical Negation. In Boolean algebra, the logical negation symbol is used to denote that the truth value of the assertion that follows is reversible. The mark has the appearance of a dash with a tail (). To denote logical negation, use the tilde () or the sign for arithmetic subtraction (-).
