A positively charged atom is called proton and a negatively charged atom is called electron.

Electrons can move freely but protons Don't..so when an object has an electric charge..flow of electrons happens...when an electron is added to an object then it is said to be positively charged object and when an electron is removed the object is said to be negatively charged object...
