Protonic acid is the acid which produces positive hydrogen ions in the aqueous solution. Acid has many definitions. It is said to be a molecule that is capable of distributing a proton or is capable of forming a covalent bond with an electron pair.

There are three categories of acids the first one is Arrhenius acids, the second one is Bronsted- Lowry acid and the last category is Lewis acid.
