Protoplasm comes from Greek Photos for first and plasma for thing formed .
hence, protoplasm is a living thing of a cell which is surrounded by plasma membrane .
It is a mixture of micromolecule such as ion, amino acid , monosaccharide and water. and in macromolecule such as nucleic acids , protiens , lipids , polysaccharides.
The first and main component of protoplasm is CYTOPLASM .it is responsible for maintaining an environment that allow the different organelles within it to carry of their function.
The second elements of it is the nucleus .it contains the genetic material of cell or organism .it also play the role in controlling the activity of the cell .in nucleus RIBOSOME included which are necessary for creating protiens and it maintenance.
