Pseudopodia:

These are the flexible protrusions coming out from the surface of a (an amoeboid) cell. They are filled with cytoplasm and they can sense a prey or food.

The prey or food is engulfed by Pseudopodia and merged into the cell.

Pseudopodia help cell in movement and feeding.

Example: human white blood cell.

The Function of Pseudopods

Pseudopods are actually extensions of the cytoplasm, or the thick liquid that is inside organisms like amoeba. The organism can change the shape of the pseudopod, making it move, appear, and disappear. The pseudopods are used in movement and as a tool to capture prey.
