pteridophyta is a vascular plant that disperses Spores. because pteridophyte produce neither flower nor seeds. they are also referred as Cryptogams.

pteridophyta = include horsetails & ferns, used for medicinal purposes and as soil binders, found in cool, damp, shady places, well-differentiated vascular tissues, multicellular free-living, mostly photosynthetic thalloid gametophytes, classified into four classes: Psilopsida(Psilotum); Lycopsida (Selaginella, Lycopodium); Sphenopsida (Equisetum) and Pteropsida (Dryopteris,Pteris).
