Pteridophytes are plants with proper root, stem and leaf.

They are first plant to have vascular bundle.

But they don't form embryo also no seed due absence of ovules.

They follow haplo diplontic life cycle, where both sporophyte and gametophyte are independent of each other.

Examples- Fern, selaginella, exquisetum, salvinia.
