The stage of life or the period when teenagers or adolescents reach sexual maturity and become capable of reproduction is called puberty or adolescence.

It causes various changes in girls and boys differently. One of the changes is that the voice of boys become deep, loud and hoarse. This is because of the enlargement of the voice box or larynx in boys during puberty.
