Hello,
public finance or state finance is the expression used by the public administration for research and the use of financial resources for the pursuit of its public interest objectives.
It represents the processes by which public bodies and states manage cash flows (collection, allocation and use) over time.

Public Finance is a branch of  Economics. It is the economic activity of the Government in the economics of the nation.

It deals with the way government
   Obtains its finances,
   Saves and Invests them,
Makes plans to spend it on various public administration bodies,
     welfare schemes and policies.

In other words, budgeting is an important activity of public finance. Everyone knows about budget proposals presented annually.

Public finance deals with
Revenues of the government through various taxes (usually),
     Expenditure on government machinery itself,
Expenditure for various schemes, new projects and for future
        investments,
Debts loaned by government through bonds or another way
Management of these finances, deficit in the budget etc.

Without a proper public finance management, the nation could get into financial problems.
