A pure substance is a substance that contains particles of only one kind ( atoms or molecules ). Ex:- Iron, Suphur, Sodium, Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium etc.

Further, Pure Substances are of 2 types :-

1. Element ( contains atoms only.)

2. Compound ( contains molecules only.)
