According to Pythagoras Theorem.. IN ANY RIGHT ANGLED TRIANGLE, THE SQUARE OF HYPOTENEUSE IS EQUAL TO THE SUM OF SQUARE OF OTHER TWO SIDES (CONTAINING THE RIGHT ANGLE)

 {hypoteneuse}^{2}  =  {perpndicular}^{2}  +  {base}^{2}
