Pythagoras theorem is one of the most fundamental theorems in mathematics.

it defines the relationship between the three sides of a right angled triangle,

Or the sum of the squares of two legs of a right triangle is equal to the square of its hypotenuse....

formula:-

a { }^{2}  + b {}^{2}  = c {}^{2}

kindly mark it brainliest ❤️

Answer:

The pythagoras theorem states that in a right angled triangle, the square of the side opposite to the right angle is equal to the sum of squares of the other two sides.

For example, if in a triangle ABC, angle ABC is a right angle (refer to figure 1), then, by pythagoras theorem,

AC² = AB² + BC²

Explanation:

For the derivation of the Pythagoras theorem, refer to figure 2 and 3.

The converse of pythagoras theorem is also true. It states that- if in a triangle, the square of the largest side is equal to the sum of squares of the other two sides, then the angle opposite to the largest side is right angle.

For the proof of converse of pythagoras theorem, refer to figure 4 and 5.
