In a right angled triangle, square of hypotenuse is equal to sum of squares of other two sides. This is Pythagoras therom

Hypotenuse is the longest side.

Then the angle opposite to longest side is right angle.

Formula :-

Hypotenuse² = opposite² + Adjacent²

Example:-

  • 3 , 4 , 5

=> 5² = 3² + 4²

=> 25 = 9 + 16

=> 25 = 25

  • 5, 12, 13

=> 13² = 12² + 5²

=> 169 = 144 + 25

=> 169 = 169
