Answer:

Quadrilaterals

The polygons made up of 4 line segments are known as quadrilaterals. They are plane and closed figures with 4 sides, vertices, angles and edges. All the angles of a quadrilateral add upto 360 degrees. There are 6 quadrilaterals:

Square

Square is a quadrilateral with all the sides and angles with same measure. All the angles of a square add upto 90 degrees.

Rectangle

Rectangle is a quadrilateral with opposite pair of sides equal and parallel. All the angles of a rectangle are 90 degrees.

Parallelogram

A quadrilateral with two pairs of opposite sides equal and parallel is known as a parallelogram. The opposite angles have equal measure in a parallelogram.

Rhombus

A parallelogram becomes a rhombus when all its sides become equal in measure.

Trapezium

A trapezium is a quadrilateral with one set of parallel sides. The opposite set of non-parallel sides complete this quadrilateral.

Kite

A quadrilateral with 2 pairs of adjacent sides equal in length is known as a kite.
