Quantum Field Theory (QFT) is the mathematical and conceptual framework for contemporary elementary particle physics. In a rather informal sense QFT is the extension of quantum mechanics (QM), dealing with particles, over to fields, i.e. systems with an infinite number of degrees of freedom.

Example: In classical physics if we say, there are two bombs when we put fire they blast together,but in Quantum mechanics there is possibility that both bombs can't blast .

Let's understand field theory by example,

we say that this space is blank or we say this is empty place does it actually means that that place is said to be empty

Reason = In universe everywhere fields are and some type of forces are present like gravitational field, Higgs field, electric field, magnetic field, electromagnetic field ,nuclear forces, etc..

This states that there is no any space is empty, some type of forces and fields are present everywhere. Higgs field is the field that present everywhere.
