=> Calcium oxide (CaO) is called Quicklime.

=> It is a white, caustic, alkaline, crystalline solid at room temperature.

=>CaO + H2O ----> CA(OH)2

On reacting with water, the product formed is Calcium hydroxide.

=> USES:
