Hello mate !!

Thanks for asking this question !!

Your answer is =>

A mixture contains two or more components in it. One of these components is an optically active compound and another is optically inactive compound.

\boxed{\bf{\#Optically\: Active \:compound =>}}

When a ray of light falls on any compound, it gets rotated either anticlockwise or Clockwise i.e. either in Left side or in Right side.

These compounds are termed as Optically Active compounds.

Those rotate it to Right are called as \underline{Laevo\:Rotatory \:compounds.}

Those rotate the light ray to Left are termed as \underline{Dextro\:rotatory \:compounds.}

\boxed{\bf{\#Optically\: inactive\: compounds =>}}

those compounds which can't rotate the light ray in any direction are termed as Optically inactive compounds.

A mixture containing both Dextro Rotatory compounds and Laevo Rotatory Compounds cannot Rotate the light in any direction so it becomes Optically inactive in nature.

Such mixture is called as a Racemic Mixture and the process of forming Racemic mixture is called as \bf{RACEMISITION.}
