Radiation is the emission or transmission of energy as electromagnetic waves or as moving subatomic particles through space or through a material medium, especially high-energy particles which cause ionization. For e.g. Electromagnetic radiation - Ionizing radiation - Particle radiation - Thermal radiation.

Hello there!

Explanation: Radiation is one way that thermal energy is transferred from a warmer object to a cooler object. Radiation transfers thermal energy by waves. Waves are disturbances that carry energy from one place to another through matter and space. Radiation transfers thermal energy by electromagnetic waves transfer energy within or without matter.

Hope this helps!
